The "Key West Express" ferry is available from the Ft Myers area. Key West is also a port of call for many major cruise lines. With an average year round temperature of 77 degrees, and 277 days of sunshine yearly, Key West makes it comfortable to be outdoors virtually 365 days a year. southernmost pointYou don't need a car to get around Key West. Our little piece of paradise is just 2 by 4 miles. The Old Town Trolley and scooter rentals are available, but many people prefer to walk to enjoy our sunshine and balmy breezes.

Recreation options abound in this island community, including boat rentals, fishing charters, jet ski rentals, scuba diving, parasailing and much more. Key West is home to the Dry Tortugas National Park and the Key West Aquarium. You can even swim with the dolphins!
Key West Events
Key West is host to several popular annual events, including the Florida Keys Seafood Festival, Fantasy Fest, Hemingway Days, and the Key West Food and Wine Festival. The Sunset Celebration takes place every day at sunset at Mallory Square featuring arts, crafts, and food.

From fish tacos to fine dining, you won't have trouble finding a great meal. Local favorites include Camilles's and Sunset Pier, where you can watch the sunset over cocktails. No trip is complete without some conch fritters or key lime pie. After dinner, check out world famous Duval Street for live music and entertainment.
